  In all source information, Agnes is said to be daughter of John Lovel and Katherine Basset, however, the chronology on Adam de Chetwynd doesn't support this. Adam is known to have died c 1210 and appears on document as early as 1180. For an Agnes Lovel to have been his wife, she would more likely have been a sister to John Lovel (c 1190 - 1252), of Minster Lovel ancestor to the Lovels of Titchmarsh, and the relationship mentioned in the confirmation of property to John de Chetwynd would have been that of uncle, not grandfather. It may be also that she was of a marriage prior to Isabel, causing some of the confusion as to where she belongs in the lineage.
