Note: The manor of Hellogan and the manor of Illogan, like the names they bear, apparently represent the differentiation of what was probably the marriage portion bestowed by Sir William de Dunstanville upon his daughter Margaret upon her marriage with Sir William de Heligan. Both were held of the manor of Tehidy. Richard the grandson of Sir William Heligan appears to have left three daughters, one of whom, Isabella, while in the wardship of Michael Petit, and a child seven years of age, was married by him to his son Hugh Petit. This marriage was annulled after she had become the wife of John Trevarthian.
