  ROBERT DE SCALES II, son and heir, apparently a minor 25 June 1215. Hislands in Norfolk and Suffolk were given to Osmund de Stuteville, October1216, but were restored to him September-October 1217. In 1218-19 a finewas levied between William de Beauchamp and Maud his wife and Robert sonof Roger de Scales of lands in Lynn, Middleton, Worlington and Wetherden:in 1229 he was a justice in Norfolk; in 1237 he was granted land which ahanged felon had held of him in Little Wilmington, Kent; in 1242 he wason an assize of arms for Norfolk; in 1249 a fine passed between him andWilliam de Wichenton of the advowson of the church of Worlington. Heconfirmed to Blackborough the grant of the churches of Middleton andSandon and of a moiety of the church of Wetherden made by his grandfatherRobert de Scales.
  
  He married Alice, daughter of William and sister of Piers DE ROUCESTRE,of Newsells, Herts, and Rivenhall, Essex. He died before 23 January 1250,leaving Alice surviving. [Complete Peerage XI:498-9, (transcribed byDave Utzinger)]
