  The next who can be seen holding the land which Domesday Herveus held is R de Stretton. We may safely assume his name to have been Richard. He is seen in a charter of 1158-1165, whereby Reiner son of Eadrict de Wolseley gives Gailey to the nuns of Blithbury, with the consent of Robert de Stafford and Robert his son and Avice his wife, and of R de Stretton and Hervy his son, and of Adam de Wrottesley. Three more Hervys appear as witnesses to this charter, showing what a cluster of Hervys there were hereabouts, viz. Hervy de Aclea, Hervy Bagot, and Hervy brother of Reiner. ...Although the interval is rather long, yet it is quite possible for this Richard to have been a son of Domesday Hervy. At any rate he is his successor, immediate or otherwise, and is standing in his shoes at Stretton. He is not seen again after the date of this deed, and is certainly dead in 1166.
