=== Life Sketch ===
THE FOLLOWING ADDED BY BRANDON ATWOOD: Ye Atwood Annals do not say which of the two Peter de Wyckhurst bought Hooley House. I have found an external source that says that It was actually Peter de Wyckhurst II (c. 1195 - c. 1220) who bought the estate, but the source is a history blog and may not be credible. I am trying to contact the owner. Here is an excerpt from the blog post and a link:
12th century Great Britain was a difficult place to survive in. Life spans were short and thriving as va culture was the furthest thing from most minds. During this period there are records of different individuals who lived near Hooley House and it’s neighboring estate, Woods Place, all being called of the same surnames. Edmund from the woods (c.1130 - after 1160) is believed to have had a son also carrying the name Edmund from the woods (c. 1160 - c. 1180). We do know that this second Edmund had a son Peter de Wyckhurst (c. 1180 - c. 1220). Peter de Wyckhurst then had a son of the same name, Peter de Wyckhurst (c. 1195 - c. 1220).
When Peter de Wyckhurst (c. 1195 - c. 1220) purchased Hooley House in 1204 AD from Bertan Marten the Abbot of Chertsey Abbey, the family set down it’s roots and prepared to become one of the influential families in Great Britain.
