  Maurice Drummond succeeded to his father Malcolm, and inheriting his lands and office, became the third chief of the house of Drummond, and 3rd Thane of Lennox. He flourished in the reigns of David I. the youngest son of Malcolm Canmore, and of his grandson Malcolm IV, called the Maiden, and died about 1155.
  The name of his wife is not preserved, but he left a son, who succeeded him, called John.
