    Publication: Name: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89067589937;view=1up;seq=705;
    Note: This is a very meticulously, documented volume with vital statistics, family members town records, wills, property frecords, inventories, biographies, allied families. It is very user-friendly. Donald Lines Jacobus was the "Dean of Genealogy" back in his day. The theory that the widow Mary Mason was the wife of Thomas Tracy has been repudiated by several well-Known genealogists, including Donald Jacobus. See Donald Lines Jacobus, The Waterman Family: Descendants of Robert Waterman of Marshfield, Massachusetts Through Seven Generations, Vol. 1 (New Haven, CT: E. F. Waterman, 1939), 21-28, 688-698.

    Author: Henry R. Stiles, Families of Ancient Wethersfield Connecticut (New York: Clearfield Co., Inc., 1904, Reprinted in Baltimore, Maryland by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. in 18999), 327; digital images, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com : downloaded 25 Nov 2016). Rec. Date: 7 Jul 2016.

    Note: Bottom of the pages indicates that Mary Foote was born in England abt 1623, that she married (1) 1642, John Stoddard of Wethersfield, who died 1664; that she married (2) 1674 John Goodrich, Sen. of Wethersfield, who died 1680; and that she married (3) Lieut. Thos. Tracy of Norwich, CT., who died 1685. The record indicates that Mary had seven children, all by her first husband.
  4. Title: Book: New England Marriages Prior to 1700
    Author: Clarence Almon Torrey, New England Marriages Prior to 1700 (Baltimore, Maryland: Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 2004), 90, 751.
    Publication: Name: https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/3824/gpc_newenglandmarriages-0767?pid=70651;
    Note: Marriage to John Bradford listed on page 90. Marriage to Thomas Tracy listed on page 751.
  5. Title: Families of Ancient Wethersfield Connecticut"Lt. Thomas Tracy prob. m. Ann, wid. of Edward Mason (of whom nothing has been found on the rec...." Notice the abbreviation "prob.[probably]" this is not substantiated. Wid Ann Mason died she was still Mason
    Author: Ancestry.com
    Publication: Name: https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/48653/WethersfieldCT-008743-693?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.com%2fsearch%2fdb.aspx%3fdbid%3d48653%26path%3d&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnBrowsing#?imageId=WethersfieldCT-008753-700;
    Note: Families of Ancient Wethersfield Connecticut. Stiles, Henry R. NY, 1909, p 709. All that is said of Ann Mason in this source: "Lt. Thomas Tracy prob. m. Ann, wid. of Edward Mason (of whom nothing has been found on the rec...." Notice the abbreviation "prob.[probably]" this is not substantiated. When Widow Ann Mason died she was still named "Widow Mason," so if she had married Thomas Tracy after Edward Mason died, why was she still called "widow Mason" at her death? This would indicate she never remarried.
  6. Title: The Great Migration Begins - Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Vol. I A-F No ACCESS
    Author: The Great Migration Begins - Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Vol. I A-F, Robert Charles Anderson, The Great Migration Begins - Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Vol. I A-F ( New England Historical Genealogical Society; 1996;), Page 542.

  8. Title: Book: Hyde Genealogy, Volume 1 (1864) CAUTION! Contains "incorrect statements," & "Many surprising blunders."
    Author: Reuben H. Walworth, Hyde Genealogy; or the Descendants, in the Female as Well as in the Male Lines, From William Hyde, of Norwich, Volume 1 (Albany, New York: J. Munsell, 1864), 25-26.
    Publication: Name: https://archive.org/stream/hydegenealogyord01walw#page/24/mode/2up;
    Note: In 1889, Mrs. Matilda O. Abbey published at Milwaukee, Wis., a Genealogy of the Family of Lt. Thomas Tracy of Norwich, Conn. This was based largely on the "Hyde Genealogy," which it follows as to the English ancestry, but makes many surprising" blunders. It repeats the incorrect statement that the first wife of Thomas was widow of Edward Mason of Wethersfield. On page 8, it states the children of Thomas and Miriam (Tracy) Waterman as "Thomas, John, Elizabeth, Martha, Lydia and Waterman [sic]. Thomas Waterman, her husband, was one of the original proprietors of Norwich." WHEN MRS. MARY MASON, WIDOW OF EDWARD MASON DIED, SHE WAS STILL "WIDOW MARY MASON" SHOWING THAT SHE NEVER REMARRIED.
