Hi Jeanne,
I have been working on the Father, Sir James Clerke/Clark line, it is a bit of a hodge podge mess with no sources also. I like to have reliable sources before adding and deleting anything if that helps you. Its investigative work for sure. Good luck.
Hi, I ask those contributors with greater experience than I to help sort out what I'm seeing here with 3 profiles for Thomas Lyncoln Clarke. He's either my 11th or 12th great grandfather, but I leave it to your discretion and action whether any merger based on the following should occur:
It seems that this profile GMBM-Q4K (1500-1551) would be the surviving profile out of the three. However it is listed as married to three Katherine Joanes:
G8KJ-BJ7 (with no kids) 1510-1553
G93H-1GZ (with 3 daughters) 1515-1553, and
9VL1-KHQ (with 8 kids) 1515-1549
GMBM-Q4K (1500-1551) my supposed 12th great grandfather is also married to my supposed 12th great-grandmother Annie England G97Z-BDM (1508-1553) with one son, ANOTHER Thomas Lyncoln Clarke G8SS-Y52 (my supposed 11th great grandfather) which has no DOB or DOD, no sources, married to Elizabeth King (no dates or sources) with 2 sons L19M-6CW Thomas Clark II 1527-1580 and Sir William Clarke GQHM-FBX 1553-1624.
The 3rd profile for Thomas Lyncoln Clarke G8KJ-587 (1508-1551) has no parents, no sources and 2 wives lady margaret of devonshire (no kids) and lady joan katherine clark (nothos) G8KJ-BJ7 with one son G8KJ-YXQ Thomas Clarke II 1527-1580.
If Thomas Clarke II G8KJ-YXQ were merged with L19M-6CW (because they have the same dates), the problem is one is the son of the other's grandfather.
So how would the other two relate to the surviving profile for Thomas Lyncoln Clarke? That profile has 2 Thomas Clarks as sons but born on later dates from the other profiles' Thomas Clarke II.
Thanks!
