Janet de Dunbar, daughter of George de Dunbar, 11th Earl of March ad his wife Beatrix. Married her 2nd cousin William Seton, Master of Seton, who was killed at the battle of Verneuil on 17 August 1424. Married 2nd Adam Johnstone of Johnstone.
Janet is sometimes incorrectly attributed as the daughter of George, 10th Earl of Dunbar and March, who was in fact her grandfather. Several things substantiate that the 10th Earl was not her father. When Dame Elizabeth Dunbar resigned governorship of the Nunnery Hospital of St Leonard on 24 April 1438, she also made bequests for perpetual prayers to be said for the souls of: "Sir George, Earl of March, Christian, his spouse, Elizabeth Dunbar, their daughter (the granter), Sir George of Dunbar, Earl of March, their son, Sir Columba of Dunbar, Bishop of Moray, Sir Gavin of Dunbar, Patrick of Dunbar, John of Dunbar, Sir 'Davy' of Dunbar, brothers" Elizabeth named all members of her immediate family, alive and dead. No 'Janet Dunbar' is named, indicating Elizabeth did not have a sister of this name. Elizabeth was also often referenced as 'the only daughter of the Earl of March'. Janet was not named in any other known documents as a daughter of the 10th Earl.

=== "Complete Peerage" and "Scots Peerage" s ===
"Complete Peerage" and "Scots Peerage" state that she is a possible daughter of George, Earl of Dunbar and March. This seems likely since the next generation is the first time the name George appears in the Seton lineage.
