Haakon Haakonsson, Prince of Norway was born in 1232.1 He was the son of Haakon IV Haakonsson, King of Norway and Margareta Skulesdotter.1 He married Rixa Folkunga, daughter of Birgir Folkunga, Jarl of Sweden and Ingeborg Eriksdottir, in 1251.1 He died in 1257.1
He gained the title of Prince Haakon of Norway.2 He held the office of Co-regent of Norway between 1240 and 1257.3
