  Melchior Naffzger wird im Leissiger Kirchenbuch erstmals im Jahr 1626 erwähnt, da er dort die Ehe mit Eva Schmocker aus Beatenberg eingegangen ist. Melchior war Schmied und wohnte in Uetendorf. In der Kirche von Thierachern liess er von 1628 bis 1653 12 Kinder taufen und wurde zum Stammvater der Nafzgers in der Schweiz und in anderen Ländern.
  
  Melchior Naffzger is first mentioned in the Leissiger church book in 1626, because it was there that he married Eva Schmocker from Beatenberg. Melchior was a blacksmith and lived in Uetendorf. From 1628 to 1653 he had 12 children baptized in the church of Thierachern and became the progenitor of the Nafzgers in Switzerland and other countries.
