  ) Jacob had lived for 8 years in Hassloch in the Kurpfaltz and there married Anna Barbara Christian (sic). He applied to Basel for manumission on 13 Jan. 1717 and at that time he had three children (Staatsarchiv Basel, D 6, 172) Note that only two children were found in the Hassloch baptismal record before 1717. There is a burial record for an unnamed 8 year daughter who died 22 May 1721.
  
  Emigrated from Hoelstein, Canton Basel, Switzerland with his father about 1700 to Hassloch, Pfalz. Emigrated to America on the Ship Snow Lowther, Joseph Fischer, Master, from Rotterdam, and last from Dover, arrived 14 Oct 1731 with wife, Anna Barbara, and children inc. Joh. Wendel, Joh. David, Joh. Conrad, Joh. Ulrich, and Catharina.
  
  Initially joined New Holland Church, Lancaster Co., PA where they registered their elder children.

This church was located in East Cocalico Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. Casper Stover opened a register in the fall of 1733. In 1743 the Rev. Lischy began a register for the congregation on Muddy Creek. Present day Peach United Church of Christ, Swartzville. Elizabeth of John Jacob Guisie, b. 17 March 1734, bapt. March 28, 1734, Spon: John George Hammerich and wife Maria. Phillip Jacob of John Jacob Guisie, b. 07 March 1736, bapt. 22 March 1736, Spon: Phillip Tiebo and wife Magdalene.
  
  Registered at Muddy Creek Church about 5 November 1745 (about the time of Margaret of Joseph Ritter was baptized December 15, 1745). Pastor Casper Stover recorded several births and baptism of congregants. No wife was mentioned and other sponsors were selected, so Anna Barbara (Biber) Gysi may have died by this date.

  Lancaster Co. Orphan's Court record: 7 Dec 1757. Gerard Brenner, Guardian of John, Henry, Mary Elizabeth born March 1734 and Phillip born 7 March 1736, children of Jacob Geesey, charges himself with the money due them, and after paying a small debt and costs he is ordered to divide the balance as follows: to eldest son Philip 27 pounds 8/4 to son John 13 pounds 14/2 to son Henry 13 pounds 14/2 to daughter Mary Elizabeth (wife of Ulrich Seiler) 13 pounds 14/2.
