=== Life Sketch ===
Hague becomes imperial immediately
In 1245, when the last Gurre von Haag died without male descendants, Emperor Friedrich II transferred the county of Haag to the knight Sigfrid von Fraunberg, who was married to Elisabeth Gurre. In the imperial deed of May 1245, Haag is expressly referred to as a county, whose official authority was transferred to Sigfrid von Fraunberg as the legal successor to Konrad Gurre. At the same time the high jurisdiction of the county is confirmed as an imperial fief, a privilege of imperial immediate states.
Sigfrid von Fraunberg was a warrior knight. He was in the army of Emperor Friedrich II on the Italian campaigns and took part in the sieges of Wasserburg (1247), Falkenstein and Andechs (1248).
Sigfrid was followed by his sons Sigfrid II and Berthold. They divided property and family into the line of Haag and Fraunberg. The "Fraunberger zum Haag" line ruled the county and was part of the empire, while the "Fraunberger zu Fraunberg" (near Erding) remained part of the state.
