"If so, she was his first wife because Isabel Ferrers was his widow in 1215," Norr says. K-1097 has it correct, Roger marrying Isabel and having Joan. Roots: Isabel de Ferrieres, granted a life interest in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, and Oakham, Rutland, which her brother Henry lost attime of conquest of Normandy. She was the daughter of Walkelin de Ferrieres,Seigneur Ferrieres-Saint-Hilaire, and Lord of Oakham, Rutland.
