Biography
Perina was the daughter of James Le Boteler (or Butler), K.B. and Eleanor De Bohun who married in 1327 or 1328. Pernel had two brothers, John and James, Knt. [2nd Earl of Ormond], and a half sister, Eleanor.[1][2]
Her mother’s will of 20 Aug 1363 proved 18 Oct following included bequests to her daughter Talbot and her son Talbot. It was sworn before the "Baron of this Exchequer" by her Executors one of whom was Gilbert Talbot.[1][3][4]
Marriage
Perina Butler, daughter of James Butler, Earl of Ormond, married Gilbert Talbot.[1][5][6][7][8] On 08 Sep 1352 Richard Talbot the elder was granted a Licence "to enfeoff Gilbert his son and Perina la Boteller, and the heirs of their bodies, of the manor of Policote, co. Buckingham, which is held in chief and is not worth more than 20 l. yearly with reversion to Richard and his heirs."[9].
Gilbert Talbot and Perina his wife were recorded in the Close Rolls in 1364 and 1365 in connection with the manor of Leye, Gloucestershire[10].

Note: Gilbert Talbot, 3rd Baron Talbot (c. 1332–1387) was an English nobleman and soldier. Talbot was the son and heir of Richard Talbot, 2nd Baron Talbot and his wife Elizabeth de Comyn. He died of the plague while in Spain in 1387. Talbot was married twice. Prior to 1361, he married Petronilla, daughter of James Butler, 1st Earl of Ormond by his wife Eleanor de Bohun. He married secondly Joan, daughter of Ralph de Stafford, 1st Earl of Stafford by his wife Margaret de Audley, 2nd Baroness Audley. Talbot died on 24 April 1387 and was succeeded by his son Richard.
