OCC/TITLES: Knight. He fought in various campaigns against the Scots between 1291 and 1313. He served in Gascony, 1294-96 and was summoned to serve in Flanders in May 1297 but was instead sent to Scotland. He distinguished himself in the Battle of Stirling, 11 Sept 1297 and was rewarded with the command of Stirling Castle, which he was soon forced to surrender to the Scots, by whom he was imprisoned in Dumbarton Castle. He was released in late 1299. He was among those ordered to guard the Marches against the Scots on many occasions between 1303 and 1322. He was summoned to Parliament from 22 Feb 1306/7 to 18 Sept 1322.
